WTH has happened to people showing some common courtesy at the boat ramp? Last Friday night, Dusty and I made a last minute decision to hit the lake. Knowing we could not make the dogfight, we got to CFP around 8pm and staged the boat before proceeding to the ramp. Right as we started to proceed to the ramp some dumbass in a white truck, wearing a blue shirt and his orange tent-wearing omega-moo mate came flying past us, backed up towards us and backed into two lanes of the boat ramp before dude and his waddling mate staged their boat and launched. We were shocked and in our amazement, the dumb bastard took the opportunity to shoot us a bird as we stood in amazement. I started to come unglued, but decided at the time to let it go. Now I know he was in his finestlate 80's Green/Blue Stratos 285, but after Tessie dropped him off in the water the storygets better.

As we remained calm, and I thinking if this was the darndest thing I had ever seen (and that if the SOB ever showed up for the CFF, I might finally get to exercise discretion in telling him to get lost), he trolls over in front of the boat ramp and picks up a fishing rod, then acts like he is fishing so Hefty Hilda can stand on the dock and take picture after picture of this loser with herhigh-end 35mm camera in various fishing poses, none of which include catching fish. This is what these two trashy derelicts broke line at the boat ramp for?All I can figure is that this loser have been posing for"Trailer Park Monthly" or something similar.

While I expectweekenders and pleasure boaters to act like total dumbasses, especially at the boat ramp, this asshole has completely capture the crown of "Most Likely to Suffer a Boat Ramp Ass Kicking" by someone who finally loses their cool with this idiocy and goes off the deep end.Use some common sense. Prep your boat before you get on the ramp. Only use one lane of three at the ramp. Wait your turn like the rest of us do.

Too bad the air didn't accidently "leak" out of their trailer tires.....while posing for Bassbastard Magazine.

Wow - that sounds frustrating and entertaining all it once - I wish you had taken a pic of her taking a pic of him. Glad you kept your cool that could have gone south pretty quick

I wanted to take a picture, but I had already stored my phone in dry storage...I wish I had looking back...

Man did you refer to the dictionary or something before posting? There's some impressive verbiage in this post. I found it very funny and entertaining but in all seriousness I hate that this sort of thing happens to nice people. Sorry you had to wait it out but you handled it pretty well.

Sounds like you might have needed a WIDE angle lens !! As far as etiquette, it's sad to say but , for the most part, left a few years back.

Something almost as bad happened to me and my 9 year old grandson at wolftever ramp!! He was holding my boat while I got the truck and some Ahole came running in to dock and throwed some big ole wakes while Bryson was trying to hold my boat and it beat the hell out of it on the dock!! Grandson said the guy was laughing at him trying to hold it!! He left back out while I was backing in!! Bryson told me and I was going to go after him but stayed calm but I see him again I guarantee one of us will wear a asswhipping!! My rub rail has a big gash in it now!!

beetlespin - 7/13/2016 11:23 AM Be careful. This story would be hilarious if you said something and his large girlfriend kicked your butt.

Why do you think I did not go after the guy...I did not want to be on the front page of the fishing forum and"trailer park bassin" magazine being power-bombed by his significant other...

lol as Rodney Carrington says take a chicken leg off a big womans plate and see how athletic they are

Wow.....best shows are at the ramps

You know I have to say what happened to you doesnt really surprise me. Its amazing how many people really do not think of the consequences of their actions or lack of their actions have on others at the ramp. I mainly use HBSP ramp and the number of times I have had to ask someone to turn off their headlights when they get backed down or the people who pull their rig out of the water to end up parking right up from the ramp taking up all kinds of room people need to turn around and back down!! I mean really pull your rig up into the parking lot to prep it for trailering... They really should have big signs at the ramps with just a few rules on them.. lights, preping for water or trailering, stay in your lane and such.. Oh well I try to blow off most of it as you just cant fix stupid.. and I am not loosing my carry permit because I kicked some dumb asses butt at the boat ramp..

They do need BIG signs, especially the headlights! Literally this entire year every time I am backing down at the end of the day (when it is dark) people always have there headlights on that are trailering. Can't ever see anything and it happens at ALL ramps. My favorite is when I come in from a long day and get to the dock at 58 and there are 4 fishing poles with lines out ACROSS the ramp and no one around! It's a small dock and it's ridiculous that people leave lines out like that at a ramp. I might just have to make my own sign b/c someone took down the no fishing sign there. I do believe a sign would help

Not just at boat ramps.. common sense or common courtesy are not very common any more.. most of that training left around time prayer left schools...
