I would like to have a ramp north of the nuclear plant that will handle a bass boat at this time of year. I'm on the north/west side of the river. In the summer I use Sale Creek which is located great for me, but it seems too shallow now. Are either Sale Creek or Possum Creek ramps deep enough at this time of year? I don't know of another ramp north of Chester Frost Park.

Well Chesterterfrost is free to launch, although it is shallow. You will have to pay at eithier of those places you have mentioned. I am thinking of doing a nightrider mishion with a track hole if anybody is game. Even in Florida they have deep water at ramp.

The cementary ramp on Hixson Pike is my favorite and not very crowded. It is on the north end of Hixson Pike near Corridor J. It is less than 1/2 mile on Hixson Pike. Look for the Boat Ramp TWRA sign on your left. You will like it.

Opossum creek is fine in the winter and so is the ramp at Armstong road at Soddy creek. I always look at the water level in the winter before i back the boat down..

Is this ramp north of Chester Frost? Not sure of the location tso. Is it Soddy Creek?

yes that is in Soddy creek...closer to Soddy than Pine Harbour....good ramp, but shallow in the winter..ok with 2 people to put in and out....fa

David you turn off Corridor J onto Hisxon Pike, go about half a mile and look to your left. (It's easy to miss this turn because it's at the beginning of a curve).
This is a very nice dock with plenty of parking space and not used very much.
I'm not sure about the water level for launching a boat off the trailer at winter pool.

ramp is good. up there the other day as fa says you need 2 people or float it on and winch it up. better winter ramp than summer.side closest to the dock is just a smidge longer. but i still wouldnt drive it all the way up on the trailer. get a running shot shut off and coast er on.

David,

FA and Hal gave you the answers. I like the ramp and have never really had a problem (by myself). I called it the cemetary ramp because you have to drive through one to get to the ramp.
