well i have finally completed my boat project, i replaced to rotted wood in the transom this weekend to complete a project that has been going on for a couple of months. i think the end result came out pretty good for a do it yourself job. i will attach some before and after pics. now it is time to start on the trailer.emoBang

looks great .. make sure to check your bearings at least repack them , and check them for heat every trip .. but old bearings are better off to replace .. I cost me 40 bucks for all new bearings and grease to replace mine .. cheap piece of mind that the hub wont over heat and melt down.
I almost bought that boat .. just couldnt raise the extra cash at the time

i am going to try and get a different trailer for it. this trailer seems to be for a smaller boat and it is hard to get the boat back on it center.

Nice job bassnbug your rig looked good out at the nuke Friday. I wish I had the time and patience to do more to my boat.

<font color="#ff0033">Bassnbug,  I am so proud of what you have done with the boat.  She sure looks comf-fie now.  Hope you catch a bunch of fishes and enjoy it..... I know you have spent some time and monies but it will be worth it......FA

Great job there BB. IMHO your trailer is too short for your needs. At the very least if you add some short bunks to it you would be amazed how much it would help you load the boat. Long bunks would be waaay better, but I dont know if you have enough trailer to even attach them..

Good looking boat. I have a short trailer (and a shorter boat) that always made it hard to get my boat loaded all centered up. Esp. in the wind or current. I put some side guide on boards on and made it alot easier. Where your trailer rear lights are mounted is a L flange. I drilled a hole in the L flange and mounted the guide ons there. Orig. I bought 4' boards with 2 right angle brackets but had no where to mount 2 brackets on each side. Ended up cutting the board in half and using only 1 bracket. I believe I still have the remaining brackets and board if you want them. Just let me know if you want them. If you're interested I can take a pic of how I mounted mine and email it to you.

You really need to get Bbass to drop you a new longer tongue on to that trailer, and then add some side bunks.

bnb give me a day or 2 and I will pm you pictures of how my side boards turned out. I think it would work for you. Kingfish

thanks kingfish, the sideboards fit perfectly. i can tell it is going to be much easier to get on the trailer now. here are some pics of finished sideboards...
