Can anyone tell me the best way to mount a transducer to the inside of the boat hull? Epoxy, silicone ? Suggestions?

Take you some play dough and roll it out in a line about 1/2 inch thick and make you a circle where the puck is going to be with the play dough and mix you epoxy pour it into the play dough circle dam and put your puck in and with a little pressure move it it around and remove the air bubbles. I always set something on mine or stand there and hold it down.

You can try it first by putting some water in the hull where the transducer will be. Put the transducer in the water. I mounted a transducer in my aluminum boat with various epoxys and they evenually gave out. When later I mounted it to the outside, I was amzed at how much signal I had been losing with it shooting through the hull.

I would say that the marine grade silicone would work rather good. A lot of epoxy you mix and it will put bubbles in it easily.. That marine Sil. gets very hard but also stays a little soft so the transducer will not pop off.

Lowrance makes some special glue for that and they say you better use it cause air bubbles or something like that .
