boat repairs

I have a 1997 Startos 201 with a 225 Johnson. It needs a litttle work and was wondering if anyone had someone they recommended. Boat has 2 gas tanks. You switch between tanks by a cable driven lever on the console. The cable is not working and I can't switch tanks. I also cant get to the tanks to work on it because they are under the bench seats. Also steering on motor is very difficult to turn. I have tried to grease the steering mechanism but the fitting won't take any grease. May need new steering.

Just looking for suggestions on who might be a good relaible place to do the repairs on the boat and motor.

i have the same issue with mine also on the tank switching. i to have a 201 pro xl, must be a common problem for them. emoBang emoScratch

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I took my Xr2 to them to have a impeller replaced and oil injection removed. It took them 3 weeks to do it, they left all the oil injection crap on there, and used these crappy plastic ends to cap the oil lines that cracked and leaked oil all over the place! Just not on top of things there. Just my .02


There is Wrechin2 on here that doesn't excellent work and will let you know all that is going on with your repair!
