My old boat 1971 Tomboy .. had only 2 navigational lights original to the boat , and wire ran for a bow mount trolling motor .. though I suspect that was added by a previous owner not factory installed .. but may have been .. it had 2 steel stud like things to connect clips for + and - .. no reg trolling motor receptacle like most boats now have, then the owner before me added the current foot control trolling motor, and a LCR .. but I didn't like his wiring job .. too complicated and unorganized.. and I had a few other things I wanted to wire in .. my boat has two LCRs now , and a battery gauge ( led toggle switch to enable or disable ), cig lighter power port for spot light etc ( I rigged toggle switch to turn off and on .), and new lights stern and bow , added a float / manual bilge pump, and soon to be adding a bait tank and pump for that too.. lots of soldering

Here are some in progress almost done photos of the control center added today .. I still need to add the switch for the bilge pump.. and clean up all the mess .. fiberglass dust ( from cutting out glass to install control board ) the control panel came out of my other old Terry Bass boat that I gave away .. I kept any thing from old boat I might use on this boat.

I cant believe how long it took to get all this done .. and still need to cleanup, and wire tie loose wires .. etc .. would have been easier to rig up if I didn't have to keep stopping to find stuff or make trip to store to get something that I couldn't find.

But at least its done and done correctly emoScratch boat is still in need of much elbow grease .. Im gonna sand down the top , rails and re-gel coat that are .. is cracked .. badly faded .. and buff out the sides.. and lay carpet on floor.. and some other odds and ends .. but that is projects for some other weekend.. for now its fishable .. just ugly

I'll take more photos later this morning to show the finished mess.

how about posting a pic of that entire boat, that is an interesting looking craft you got there.

Here ya go this pic was taken just a day or two after I got it .. maybe same day .. I paid $500 for it .. cleaned carb, new head gasket, and machined the head, cost me $50 bucks for that.. new lights on trailer another 20, made light guide poles for it .. another 30, and new bearings , and a hub about 75 bucks , and about 50 bucks in electrical stuff so $725 total so far ..

The last picture was edited and zoomed in to better show what was not there before this weekends modifications

its hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the controls are up front but i see no steering wheel. how do you steer it? looks like you done a lot of work. it is a neat looking boat.

Yes its a stick steer, and I have lots more I'm going to do to it b4 all said and done

well i am 40 years old and that is the first one i have ever saw, i still think its cool. that is going to be a neat little boat when you get done with it.

Man, the only way that could be a bigger piece of crap is if it was an inch longer!
