somewhere in the 60's. I have a 21 xl with a yamaha 250 and mine runs in the low 70's with a 26 pitch 4 blade loaded to fish. Boats can be a pain to get set up right and that's what I'm trying to do with mine now.
My 201 with '93 200hp "looper" Johnson, 4blade 27p "shooter" prop, approx. 400lbs of passengers & maybe 250 more lbs of gas & tackle, showed 68 mph on GPS at 6000 rpm in light chop, air temp was in the low 60's..
If I could add a ? Water psi WOT runs about 50psi, Does this sound right? I'm getting about 62mph by GPS. I checked the prop is a 25p.
THe 23p was on another boat.
I have a 96 Javelin 400SE ( same as Stratos) It did have a 98 200 Johnson on it. With 2 people tournament loaded it ran 72 GPS allday. I eventually blew it up. It now has a 94 200 Johnson on it. Wrechin2 built it at the first of the year. Once breakin was done it ran 76 at 6200 with a 24 Raker Prop about 3.5" below the pad. Water PSI was about 50.
I know several guys in the 201 series that is pushing mid 70's with a 225-250 and low 70's with a 200. Tinker around with your setup and props. You could get a few more out of it on top end.
