Boat traffic today?

I may try to sneak out this evening from 6-10pm. Do you think the boat traffic will be slowing down by then? If i do i will have a open back seat. My boat is nothing special and i'm still learning.

I would avoid the Soddy area. Boats will be coming in there to watch the fireworks.

Avoid lake-site it's four foot waves out there also the main Chanel it's about three to five foot waves

Went late out July 4th last year. Boat traffic didn't die down until after dark. Shoulda stayed home.

It will basically be treacherous to say the least till at least midnight.

The wife and I put in at Skull Island about 8:30. We started out on a main river ledge around the nuke plant. From there we worked our way up river just below Soddy Creek. There was very little boat traffic until about 11:30. I just happened to glance up toward the mouth of Soddy Creek about 11:30 and saw boats coming out. I said to the wife "oh Lord look comin yonder! I bet the was 100 or more boats coming out of there! We ducked into there 1st slough below S.C. and waited it out for about 30 minutes and then had the lake to ourselves till we left at 2:00. Looked like they had an awesome fireworks show in there!
