A buddy is looking at a '97 Javelin and it has no live well. Any solutions to suggest other than a bucket and a bubble maker? emoScratch emoScratch emoPlease

We had a duck boat in our dogfight and they did fine with a homemade one. You just need to get a good size cooler or tote. Get you a stand alone aeriator, you can buy them at most tackle stores. Follow the dirctions on the package on set up. Put a little stay alive in there and this time of year maybe some ice bottles and he should be fine also. emoAngel Jmax

Does anyone use the old time hang over the side fishing baskets? We used those years ago in a flat bottom when fishing for crappie in Watts Bar. Always kept the fish in good shape with them.

Two problems....one is if you are moving a lot, what are you going to do with them when you move? Second, as the summer gets hotter, the surface water is too hot and a basket at the surface will still kill the fish. Especially if you caught them deep. :( Jmax

Bass pro sells one for around 2 hundred bucks, its got an air system and all. I have seen this one in use a close friend I fished with in Florida had one on his flatbottom and it worked great. Just a thought if you want to spend that kind of money. It fit great in his 16ft flatbottom

Yea my buddies had a duck boat in the dofight yesterday and used a big tupperware tote with an aerator and some rejuvenade and their fish were very alive and kicking at the weigh in. Just make sure to dump them some fresh water in throughout the day, especially with temps on the rise
