I think we need a list of Boaters and Non Boaters who want to fish the CFF tournaments but don't have a partner. I'd be a boater and i know 2 or 3 guys have said they need a ride, but if we had a list of both on the same page it would be easier to find a partner. Maybe one of our fine administrators could help with that. I want to fish as many of them as i can, but i hate to by myself when there are a lot of guys out there who want to but can't because they are like me or don't have a boat. Just a thought.

Good luck with getting a backseat BassmanIU........

I feel it's time that this subject of non-boaters and the CFF gets addressed.

Who should we contact to try to make this so everyone can have a chance to fish the CFF?

I think we dont have any reason to "fix" what isnt broken. Its comments like this one that keep people OUT of backseats too.

Maybe your just not putting yourself out there the right way or enough to get noticed. The CFF trail WILL NOT be a draw series trail. We can however do a few draw tournaments seperate from the trail were folks work hard to do well in.

Nobody owes me a backseat, I'm grateful for the ones I've gotten, and you should be too.

OK now.... play fair here. I didn't know what was going on till I re-read my post and noticed I left off the LOL (Laugh out loud) after my remark to BassmanIU.

I'm sorry for the slip up. I sent PM's about backseaters to our 2 top dogs and this has now gotten turned around and making me look to be the bad guy.

Rich, I also appreciate every ride I get and I ALWAYS offer to pay for gas and expenses to show that appreciation to the person owning the boat.

With that said. It's all cleared up,
Steve

Sorry Shark I have to agree with BBASS...and I do not think the part about bassmaniu is the only reason that this post from bbass is on here. I just read it and I think that its was understood that you truly meant good luck to him....even though it could have been taken the wrong way. I believe that it is the point that you said that it needed to be address that some people cannot enjoy something we all love, first off I agree with BBASS on this do not fix what isn't broke, second getting noticed like this is the worst way to get a back seat no matter how many times that you say that it is taken the wrong way, third getting a back seat is the hardest thing in the world to do most guys on here have partners that they fish with on a regular basis and you cannot think for one second that they are going to fish without them unless something comes up and then sometimes they just do not fish the tournament or they fish by themselves because they are afraid of someone giving there secret spot away. Most partners plan in advance all of the tournaments that they are going to fish months in advance. Another reason its hard to get a back seat is most of the guys on here that get in each others back seat have know each other for along time not saying that you do not know anyone but it is hard to let someone that hasn't been able to show themselves on the water in tournaments and or just fishing period to get picked over a friend or a time tested veteran of the backseat. And I know that this is one of the reasons that you want to fish is because you would like to prove yourself and then more people would like to fish with you. Not everyone will have a chance to fish these tournaments and some people will think that its not fair but life isn't fair. My best advice is to keep sending pm's to people on here like I did or post a message like I did looking for a partner to fish with in tournaments. Don't put it out there like someone should just take you fishing that never works trust me. Hope this helps you and others that are like me without a boat and a backseat most of the time. Just my opinion doesn't add up to much but it is mine.....good luck

Boy, I hope I haven't offended anyone by starting this thread. I wasn't implying that the administrators weren't doing their jobs. I was just hinting about the list. I should have just went on the "open back seat" and said i was looking for a partner. I didn't think about the administrators having enough to do without trying to keep up with finding everyone a partner.
