For those who receive BoatUS magazine by being TowBoat members check out page 23. There are FREE online boating safety classes for each state at http://elearning.boatus.org
This class does not qualify as a substitute for the TWRA safety class but is recognized in other states. Once complete you get a certificate which may lower your insurance.
I have taken a couple of lessons and they are good. I strongly reccommend enrolling. ITS FREE and you can't know too much about boat safety.
