ok guys, should have already been shootin but i'm slackin...so was checkin out my old target (merrell bag) an it is shot out..time to replace want the longest lastin..an let me guess the Block, maybe it was bad luck but i have shot one before two weeks and the ole Matthews sling arrows through it. so anyone got a good target that you'll recommend???

we do thank you guys

I'm still a fan of quality bag targets. The Delta Dead stop is an awesome target. You can shoot at it from any dirrection or just toss it around the yard to hone your yardage skills.

If you are going to go with 'the block' buy the store brand. either cabelas, redhead, or gander mountain brand. the only difference is the paint. don't believe me? check the shipping label on the target themselves, they all come from Field Logic, makers of the block. I have the redhead version, and have never had a problem with passthroughs with my mathews, shooting carbon arrows at ~280fps. i did however have to paint extra bullseyes on it, just personal preference ( i like several small b.e.'s to avoid ripping off fletchings)

i have had a delta bag target last absolutely forever though, so don't count them out. but if you are wanting to shoot broadheads, bag targets aren't really the way to go. i have never tried the yellowjacket targets from morrell, they may be good, i dont' know.

get to practicing, good luck in the field.
