What I see is an Obama attempt to get any glory that he can from ill will he is catching from all sides. The polls are showing figures that are putting him lower on the scale than Bush in Disaster relief. To me, it was clear enough that BP was going to make right for their mistake. I watched the BP Exec’s making valid commitments on TV. Even made promises to the “Little People”. It looked to me that they were legally on the hook for a seemingly never-ending amount of money and in for years of rebuilding the gulf What puzzles me is why Obama steps in as if he can make it better and claim fame as a victor in making BP commit money. I thought they had already done that. Furthermore Obama has now set an amount of 20 Billion to cover the cost. Is this an insider joke? 20 Billion is not a drop in the bucket to BP’s quarterly profits. That amount set is a joke. Now that the Feds are on board to handle the distribution of the money that adds the cost for the middleman. The problems are just now starting to get worse. How much of that chunk of money will go into the studies, the planning and the admin cost to distribute the remaining money? And what with being “Politically Correct” you can rest assured the folks who truly deserve the money will not see a dime. What’s even worse to me is that now BP has a cap on their losses thanks to the amount set by our President. Does it look like a Bailout for BP to you?</p>
