Put in a MCP Sunday morning ya'll....shoulda been a Bill Dance blooper reel. I pulled in at first light noting a black tundra with all of KVD decals on it in the parking lot. I didn't really believe that the big dude would be fishin little ol Nick but couldn't help but do a double take. Launched my boat, pulled off to side to get out of the way and pulled up on one of the timbers cabled to the bank. Had my trusty Mtn Dew on my way back from parking my truck and went to step on to the front of the boat. Apparently, my ninja agility had left me and I misstep, fell off the bank, dropped my dew under my boat and got a sandal full of mud. After a choice word or two I found my drink climbed into my boat and pulled out. Left the no wake zone, put her up on the pad, went about a hundred yards and absolutely PLOWED a submerged log. Knocked me off the pad, and just about out of my seat. Checked out my motor, didn't look like any damage done so went on my way. Hooked 10, landed 6, 5 being keepers weighing about 11, 5 total sack. Went to leave a hole and had forgotten about a plug I had put in the water, noticed as the last 3 inches of line were stripped from my rod and off into the great unknown. I caught everything on a red eye shad in about 6 feet of water adjacent to deep water in grass. I would have stayed longer but I was convinced if I stayed out any longer I'd ended up like Leo on Titanic. BTW, the black tundra with the KVD decals was pulling a bullet trailer. I figured that would be like Jeff Gordon driving a Mustang, (no offense to bullet owners, or ford owners...gordan fans take it however) so I figured it wasn't him. Anyway, maybe, just maybe I shouldawent to church...Take care guys and gals...and remember, if it weren't for bad days you wouldn't know what a good one is. D</p>
