I have 2 grandchildren living in Chattanooga that I want to take bream fishing. Can anyone give me some help on where to take them to catch some bream with crickets and worms on spinning reels? We would want to be able to fish from the bank. I am primarily a flyfisher and have a place on the Little Red below Greers Ferry near Heber Springs, AR. Thanks for your help.

What area are you planning to be while here in Chattanooga? If you are on the 58 Hwy side, I would recommend Harrison Bay State Park. As you drive in, follow the signs to the boat ramp. The grassy bank from where you first get to the water all the way to the restrooms/office at the ramp is a great place to take kids to bream fish. Especially under the little bridge from the office that leads to the docks. Toss out a piece of bread and the kids can see fish. I assume that you are referring to little kids (pre-teens) emoFish

You should be able to fish from the bank around the Marina near Percy Priest Dam.  Not from the docks though.  It probably would be a good idea to check with the marina office first.
