I wasn't looking forward to this 1 all year, being on nickajack, in the daytime, September and on Labor day weekend. It turned out well for me. Pre-fishng was horrible so It could only go up, and it did. I had to change and adjust, since I'm sort of a creature of habit. The 1st hour slow but from 8 to 9 am it was on! The first bite was on a gold Cordell spoon and it was digging like a cat or drum, I thought, I just want my spoon back, it surfaced and I had to scramble for the net. It was a 5lb LM. Wow, what a start, so then I pick up my TN rig and put 5 more keepers in the boat, I culled 1 and my smallest left to cull was 2lb 5oz spot. But the rest of the day was tough. As, everyone that knows me these were caught in the upper nickajack. For the past 2 months , I've been 1st or 2nd in the night tourneys and Carl Vicars and I won the classic the previous weekend..

I finished 1st with just shy of 17lbs, and fell short on BF to David and Stoney (Kevin) which got 2nd with 11+lbs. And 3rd was 7lbs. It sucked fishing solo but it was nice to keep all the winning's minus the $80 entry.. Below is a pic of my 3 best ones..
