Seems to be about the same in both areas for me. Slow and stop crank baits. Rapala Med diver.

Mainly small bass and in about 8-10 feet of water. Very few on the banks. Managed to get about a 3 pound the other day on a lizard but that was the first and last bite I got.

Still trying to "re learn" myself to this fishing thing..LOL. Been out WAY TOO LONG! Things change during the years! Like MY mind!!emoTongue

RE: Browns Bridge /and Soddy

This time of year try a Carolina Rig on points and flats with rock. It almost always will produce. The question is with what. Some swear by the lizard and others use worms. Another good one this time of year is the centapide 4 inch. I like it in greens. Get your boat and position it off a point with rock that is in front of a spawning area where the bass will be coming and going. Have it so you can cast up to about four foot and draggin it off to 12 feet or so. Should put some in the boat for you. I hope this will help.emoCool Jmax

Jmax, you are slipping. I have never seen you give so much exact info. right before a tournament. Normally I would think that your setting someone up for failure, but they will hit the c-rig right now and a centipede is a good choice too. Finding the better fish is the challenge, tell us that part my friend.

O.K. you caught me,...;) But I did not say where. I have even gone as far as telling a little more to those that P.M.'d me. I will say this, right now I have two patterns. Both seem to work and are really no big secret. One is an early morning top water bite. 4ft or less and it is on the buzz, spook and sinko. The other is an afternoon bite or when the sun shows and it is the above pattern. I hope it doesn't change between now and this saturday. Maybe for those of you who are not doing that well this may help. I would just like to see a good weigh in with lots of alive bass nice and healthy with a lot of close heavy weights.emoTongue I like it that way. Jmax

Where else will you get that kind of information a few days before a T from a good fisherman? NO WHERE ELSE, only here on the CFF.

Holy Crap! Look at that info!! I just got my GPS back from Jmax's boat and thought I had secret info and now the man is giving it for free. You know something, I thought I had a really weird feeling this morning, like the earth tilted on its axis wrong, now I know why.emoUpsmile

I guess I will give my pattern that was doing well the other day. I was using a Lucky Craft Sammy (topwater). It was dreary and overcast out and was getting crushed. The next day at the dogfight was bluebird skies so the topwater bite was gone but we still caught a ton of fish on a Zoom baby brush hog in watermelon and a green/pumpkin lizard with chartruese tail. All were caught extremely shallow.

Man, I sure am glad you guys are in a good mood and talking. I went for a few hours Sat. morning, put in at Soddy Creek, first time in there, and only caught a few fish there and in the river. Maybe 2 keepers, but if they were it was barely. They did hit the c-rig.

emoUpsmile Davo, sinko , sinko, do the same thing in the same place but let it float down to those big ones. I think they are still there but will not come up, even in the shallows. The other day I hit a little cypress tree I bet ten times with a spook. not a ripple. Pick up the ol' worm with a very light weight and had two back to back with one a keeper.emoBigsmile They were there all the time, just wasn't going to tell me they were. I love it when you trick them and can figure them out. I did right after that switch over to the sinko and did the same thing with a lot of success.emoCool Jmax

This should be a fun Tx. I'm in the dogfight on Thursday, a McKee tourney on Nick Friday w/my neighbor and then Cff5 Sat. Man, I haven't even figured up how much I will be donating this week.

Thanks for the great info guys. 2jigs and I fished from about 7:30 to 9pm tonight up lake and there weren't fish on the bluffs and ther shallow fish wouldn't bite. We did run the boat more than we fished but it was a beautiful night. Next time we'll do better. Only caught one little guy on a buzzer. Saw some new water and had some great fun just talking about the forum and fishing in general. I hope that your fish stay on the same patterns guys, it would be great to see someone come out with a big sack Saturday. Good luck.

thanks for the info guys. I am gonna need all the help I can get for CFF 5 and then some. maybe I can use some of this info to get a keeper in the boat.emoThumbsup
Welcoma aboard Bbass.

I'll tell you fisherpal2k with all the information being shared by all it would appear there are several patterns working right now and you should be able to keep yourself busy all day just trying to figure out which one is best for the area you have choose. Last night we had one heck of a storm here at the Harrison part of the Chick with hale and a lot of rain from around 10:45 till about 11:30 so it remains to be seen if that will screw up the bite around these parts but as Polo has aready said on another post when the lake is at full pool it takes a lot more rain to screw it up than when it is at winter pool.emoThumbsup Everyone I know is catching keeper bass right now but the big bites are going to be the goose with the golden egg on this one. I will be surprised if just five nice small keepers will be in the top five on this tournament. I am really looking forward to the event and found myself changing line and retieing yesterday to make sure I didn't have one that I loose due to stupidity. I hate it when one comes off but you can't help that sometimes but when your knote comes undone or your line breaks because of a kink that is your fault and a killer.emoBang Jmax

thanks Jmax. It is really turning out to be quite an event. I just hope everyone keeps in mind its for fun and having a good time. It looks like a good turn out so far. Hope the weather holds and everyone has a safe trip and catchs lots of keepers.

Even though we have a lot of folks by paying out more places we will be paying about the normal amounts we always do on a place by place bases. Do the math,...it just spreads it around more. With door prizes by JTF and RR and the first place out of the money by Cutthroat more folks will walk away with something in their hands which is the way I like it.emoThumbsup Jmax

I'm with you Jmax. Spreading it around is the way to go for fun and sharing of info at one of these events. I would really like to be there if for nothing else the door prizes. I would love to have a new rod or some lures or whatever and I wouldn't even have to fish well to get it. That is going to make this one even more fun!
