Brutal Fishing

Dang fellas, it was brutal out there today. Wind was kicking and cold. Not ashamed to say that me and a couple friends (Bill Carson, Robert Smith) got skunked, though we had about 3 good striper pulls and were graphing some good fish. Most the bait was holding to the bottom today emoAngry , whereas last trip it was 10+ feet off the bottom. For striper fishing it seems to me that the closer the bait is to the surface, the more fish I catch. Of course I PREFER to fish shallow, so that might have something to do with it too... emoSmile Dirk

What lake were you fishing? Yesterday the gulls were really cutting up out in Harrison bay and I was wondering if the stripers were active out there.
