After seeing a couple or so little side jokes on the sign ups disappear, I take it that the fun bantering back and forth is no longer welcome on the sign up thread.
Maybe a memo should be posted that this is is just for serious posting only and no jokes should be posted! emoPolice
Probably -so long to this one too!

" Please observe this thread for signing up only. Other posts will be deleted without notice. "

You need to go back and read the first post on the sign up page.. It is posted..

This sight has lost its sense of humor, and the CFF txs are so far away from what they were started to be it aint funny, and I think it shows in tx participation.

It has nothing to do with a sense of humor it`s all about common sense.. Dropshot handles the paperwork for this trail and does not need to have to go through 2 pages of BS just to get to the names of the people who signed up the way he asked them to. These tournaments are still about fun and fellow ship I have a blast every time we go.. As for the participation let`s see we had 17 boats show up for the first tournament of the year at the river park with flood gates open. I would say thats pretty good..

Yeah. Come one dude. If someone is poking at a buddy on the sign up thread, how does it take away from the event, or sign ups, or what Patrick has to do. Back in the day we had more fun. Several of us used to do an overnighter anytime we went to, gunny, Weiss, or even Nick and we hung around for hours after the weigh in catching up with old friends. Sign ups and procedures were very casual. And back in the day, a different cff member was in charge of different events. Trust me things have changed. If showing up to a $200 tx with your mean face is what it's all about rock out! I have enough of a sense of humor to laugh about the whole deal. Funny part is how serious y'all get. It's the big leagues dude! Lol!

lmao I'll never forget being woke up early in the morning by a door being ripped off it's hinges. First thing I saw was Scott trying to get in Justins room. Thought I was in the middle of a bromance gone bad. Good times..

This is the second time that it has been brought up that since it`s a $200 tournament that it`s not as important as others. Well l take it very serious and it wouldn`t matter to me if it was a $50 tournament.. Dropshot asked for the sign up thread to be used only as a sign up thread so everyone needs to respect that. if you went to his house and he asked you not to smoke in his home would you ? People fish these on there own free will and if you choose not to thats fine with me. We will be there saturday morning cutting up, laughing, and having a good time with or without you..

Heck man, I to take a dump and couldn't get out of my room. Ramjack thought I was having a stroke, so he removed the door. That was funny

No. I don't smoke or dip anymore, and this ain't nobody's forum. It's a public forum. You use it to promote your puppy tumble. It's not that your event isn't important. It's that the attitude of those running it, is killing your trail. Especially when you are deleting a post from one of your own participants.

And yes, many of you guys have lost your sense of humor. I'll stop there

Guys, I am not sure what the problem is, other than we are not the CBA, which I greatly respect, and wish I was consistent enough to fish and compete. I don't think the CFF was ever meant to be CBA, at least that is what I was told when I was asked to join the committee 4-5 years ago. At the same time, I am the one that asked we keep the thread simple for a reason; because when I am working 60 hour weeks and trying to setup the sign-in/weigh-in sheet ahead of time (usually at the last second), it makes it easier to be sure everyone was included by doing a simple count on the number of posts. I see other threads started so I assumed it was never a big deal. Even when I don't fish, which has been quite a few tournaments of late (0 since September of 2013), I still setup and submit the weigh-in sheet so that it is ready for the tournament because that is the role I have taken on. I take more crap than you can imagine at home because I get up early on Saturday morning to be at tournaments I don't even fish. The only thing I ask is that someone has a problem with me personally, that you man up (or woman up) enough to let me know directly, instead of over the forum. I think I speak for all the tournament committee members when I say that. I have great respect for many of the anglers on the forum and the variety of tournaments they participate in, whether it be a weekly dogfight, CBA, ABA, or the CFF. While I welcome all who have qualified to come out and participate, I have also learned from not just fishing, but from softball, work, and even church that one bad apple can ruin the entire batch.

Patrick, I helped start this trail years ago with the idea of differentiating it from txs like the CBA. I don't have a problem with you personally. I have your number, I would call you. Do you ever wonder if you are doing a job no one else wants to do? If running txs causes you grief at home, I believe I would quit. I know all about that, I also know when to pass the torch.

From the outside looking in, there is no level of fun, ribbing, and banter like we used to have. Deleting a light-hearted post from one of your participants shows this. I'm sorry I pointed it out. You guys can turn and twist my statements how ever you want.

Gee-thought it was just my imagination! NOT! Yeah Churly-we've had our differences in the past but they blew by in a hurry. And I do remember big entry numbers-one at Chick of over 50 boats.
But there are a lot of past anglers that don't fish them anymore, and I'd love to see them back. But, it won't happen.
So OK, I missed a rule somewhere about onlt signing up on the sign-up thread and not adding any humor (like ordering soup at the "Soup Nazi's" kitchen on Seinfeld)
But, let me ask you committee members this-why do we still have a non-committee member weighing fish at the tournys (especially when he didn't even fish it) after a very staunch rule was put in place that even the contestants need to get their fish weighed and clear the area?

Seriously? You have got to be kidding with that question. The only one who was helping that did not fish it and was not an officer was me. Why not just say it Drag? To start with I was not weighing fish. Patrick was and he is a committee member. If you had seen the whole chain of events, people started coming up with fish before the other officers were ready and there. Patrick who also had not fished it was trying to do it all by himself. That is not easy, been there done that. I stepped up and started helping by passing the basket from the table to the people with fish as they came up. It is called "Helping", you should try it sometimes. emoBang Jmax

Alright Jim-I already answered this in your PM to me! If Those of us are getting busted on a rule (that I didn't find in the sign up thread) for posting "fun remarks" and not just keeping it too the sign up and stepping out>
Then I want the rule of weighing your fish and clearing the weigh in table (that was made clear) enforced! And you JMax are the biggest offender as seen at the Rverpark TX Don't give me that bull about just helping-you were loading and weighing the baskets.
AS far as helping-I was on the Committee! YOU?

What the heck were you looking at or drinking? I did not weigh one single fish. I passed the basket from the table to the angler. They picked up the fish and put them in the basket. I picked up the basket and handed it to the committe members at the table. That is not weighing the fish. They weighed them and I then took the basket with the fish and handed the basket back to the anglers so they could get their fish and then repeated the possess. Holy cow, that is not weighing the fish. I did not call out one single weight.

I did the tournaments for the CFF for about three years. That was before the committee even was made. emoTskTsk Jmax
