I have been putting off posting this because of technical issues with wife's camera, but failed to fix the problem so I figured I would get on with my report. That coupled with the fact that 7/31 was one of the finest days of fishing I have had in my life and I figured I needed proof.

I decided to brave the rain and get out on the lake. I launched from HBSP around 6:45ish bilge pumps pumping wide open and went to a shelf that was situated just off the main channel. Started out throwing the good ole DD22 with no success, then jig NADA, jigging spoon NADA, swimbait NADA, etc. I kept raining, and I kept fishing and moving around on the shelf until I started to show some bait on my graph. MOved off the school of bait and picked the DD22 back up and threw it and wamo good solid 3.31lbLM. Kept throwing and bam another just shy of 3lb. I decided on my next fish that I would fill the livewell and just see what my best five would go. I kept chunking and winding and then my rod almost came out of my hand, this next fish was good and healthy 4.38LM for my first one of my best five. Next couple of fish were smaller, so I picked up the swimbait and caught a 3.31 right off the bat, but no more on the swimmer after that. To make a long story short kept catching solid 3-4lb fish until lunch when sun came out with a final weight of somewhere around 18lbs. My arm was about to fall off and the bite got scattered. Water temp between 79-82 degrees, and depth was varied between 9-20ft.

Fished with a highschool friend of mine until about 12:00. I wanted to show him a good time today, but could not get on the fish like I did yesterday. I hit the water about 6:00 ish. Water temp between 81-84 degrees. Fished at same spot from yesterday for about 2 hrs throwing same baits as yesterday with only 3 small LM and several whitebass to show for it. It was covered up with baitfish, but not many fish feeding, so I decided to move to a couple of other spots. We went to another shelf where some smaller LM were schooling on top water and tied on a silver/blue XR50 and proceeded to catch a few. We got fed up with these little guys and moved back into a deeper creek and flipped a few docks catching a few quality fish in the 2.5-3lb range until it was time to go. The sunshine seemed to really make a difference from yesterday to today, and the huge amount of rain we had yesterday probably did not help matters. If I can figure out what the problem is with the camera I will post pics later. :emoticon:logo
