Are BUZZARDS protected???? I came home today and there were about 25 in my back yard and on my pool deck. They were after the crappie I trrew out in my garden, after I cleaned them. Thats ok, but them crapping all over everything, and destroying some expensive floats and the kids pool toys isn.t too good!!!!!I hope they want to make this a part of their regulsr routiene. I will dispose of the fish guts in anothen manner from now on!!!! I can.t figure out why they would eat foam rubber???

I till Mine into the soil and/or freeze a few to put beneath my Tomato Plants.. If you feed them they will come.. We can not blame them for what they do best...

I had a friend that had his pontoon boat docked at a marina on the Hiwassee......they destroyed every seat in it.

SSS.... Shoot, Shovel, Shutup

There are several boat ramps around the southeast that those nasty things congregate at and eat all the rubber trim around the trucks parked while fishing. I know the Wheeler/Wilson dam is one of them.

Are the Buzzards really federally protected? I know bald eagles are protected, but I'm not sure about buzzards. Is it all buzzards or just a sub-species that is protected?

I had them eat my windshield wipers and the rubber step pads off my trailer while I was out fishing a tournament one Saturday. I found this out after I had blown the powerhead on my outboard and got towed back to the ramp. Nice day for sure. I really developed a strong dislike for them at that point. It seems like the population is outgrowing the legislation. Winged feral hogs they are.

Several years ago, they were damaging pickup trucks in the parking lot at the boat ramp below Watts Bar dam. Don't know if they are still a problem there. Some fishermen were covering their truck cabs with tarps to keep the buzzards from damaging the insulation around the windshields and back glass.

If they get a chance, they'll puke on you. The smell would probably come close to killing a person.

a big rubber snake will keep most birds out of a garden dont know about buzzards round here they want live to see the sun set a good dog will keep them run off

Are you serious, they eat the rubber off a truck and those nasty things are protected??

Yep! Buzzards and Crows, and Hawks, and Owls. Did you also it's against the law to kill a snake in Tennessee? I called TWRA and asked about them all. Then I told them that they would just have to catch me I guess. They laughed and told me to have a nice day!

Don't Kill Buzzards.. They are a Cattle ranchers best friend. Remember this, If you feed them, they will come.. That is your fault not the Critters of Nature.
