Buzzing the Bend 6-28

Took Neighbor Hal with me this morning for some buzzbait fishing at Moccasin bend. That's one of my most favorite things to do this time of year.
Started fishing a little after 6:30 and quit at 11:30. Very little current when we started out.

Caught 25 or so small spots, and I really mean small. See the first picture. Either that's the most ambitious bass I ever saw or he was a pervert that just wanted to look up my skirt!!!

Finally went back upriver about 10:30 and caught about 10 more on Chart/white SB & 100 bandit in TN shad. Only had one "keeper" spot.

The current finally got going about the time I had to come in. Late this afternoon, it should really be good along the rip-rap beside I-24. Too Bad, I'll be on my way to "Buminham".

I was talking about the green/blk/white trailer hanging on that hook!....emoBigsmile Seriously, I have used the treble with the weld cut-off before...works well!

My misunderstanding. It's like the Woman who went into the bar with a dog. The Bartender says "Where did you get the pig?" The woman say in a snooty tone, "That sir, is a dog. The bartender says "I was speaking to the dog!"

That's a mouthfull.... Those spots are like a teenage boy going through puberty, too aggressive for their own good.

MB is so well acquainted with those spots downriver that all he has to do is stick that pretty white beard in the water and call them out by name and they just jump into his boat. That's almost how he does it. I've seen him in action. Way to go MadBomber.emoGeezer emoAngel
