We got 1 keeper in the boat on top water spook early and one off a reaction bite on a crank. The fish were shallow and we spotted 2 nice schools of bass 15+ in each school both in 4' of water so they are moving into the shallows. With the water temp still up I thought this was strange. Mainly fished the areas around the nuclear towers and Chester frost. We were one of six that weighed in at the Coahulla Creek Baseball Tournament. With summer like water temps will fish follow the calendar or the water temps moving into the shallows.

I think it has to do more with daylight hours than water temp. But water cooling off will definitely help.

The fish go by length of day to do their transition more than temperature. The warm water is keeping them from firing off the fall feast though

This week of cool weather should really help turn the bite on. Sure hope it does.
