Today was my first tournament out with my new Cabelas AGM trolling batteries. It used them hard today for eight hours in very strong winds and they were as strong at the finish as they were at the start. I can't remember the trolling motor ever being this strong at the end of a tx. The connections aren't the easiest to use but other than that I am very impressed!

BS

Which model numbers did you get Lance? I may be lookin` soon.
By the way good job on the Tx ! Nice poundage for this early. Or anytime really ! Was that on the Nick?

Ouch BS.......them things will put a hole in your pocketbook won`t they !! Those should be great batts though !
Just a little Info for you BP. My cranking Interstate Group 24 went down and today I went to look at the Wally`s and just couldn`t make my self buy `em. 75$ for a 27 Maxx. My luck with their deep cycles has been they last about 25 months if that long.
So I went on to the Interstate store and told em to give me a 27 group cranker for the extra reserve for the livewells pumps and stuff. I about choked when the bill was 104$. The 24 I traded in was 4 years old and couldn`t tell you how much I paid for it . I squalled a little and he said there had been at least 2 price increases since I bought that 24 . I asked him about the 27 Trollers and he said they were 86$...I paid 72$ for the ones I have now that are 3 years old. And these are the standard flooded cell Batts. The AGMs Lance got are the Cadillacs though
I guess I shouldn`t be surprised though ...the last set of Michelins I got had gone up 50% ...so I guess everything else has too !

Lead went through the roof in the last 6 months so expect see the batteries do the same, especially the wet cells. Spirals, and glass mats will probably go up also just because of supply/demand.
