Want (or need) to become a certified U.S. Coast Guard Captain? Some people do it for a job... working tugs & barges, river cruise services or as a fishing guide. Anybody who uses a navigable waterway (Tennessee River) for commercial purposes is required by law to have it. But others just do it to broaden their horizons and become a better boater.. or maybe it's an ego thing so they can officially be called "Captain."

Whatever the reason, True Course Captains School is coming to Chattanooga in January. While you can do the training on your own, or there are several private organizations available to help boaters get through the stringent certification process required by the U.S. Coast Guard, TrueCourse is the only school that periodically comes to Chattanooga to hold classes. IMHO, it is worth the money to have someone help "hold your hand" through the morass of red tape, stringent testing, criminal background checks, drug screening and health certifications.

Learn about the class beginning Jan. 13, 2018 here: http://bit.ly/2AdDMBE
