Anyone know where I can get a hi8 camcorder repaired?I'm afraid that it may cost as much to repair as it will to replace it ,but I hate to get rid of something that can be fixed.

Believe it or not,I took the thing apart yesterday(I figured it couldn't get any "more broke")spent about three hours "looking" at it ,put it back together, made a few adjustments and the thing started working again!I had a shop teacher in high school tell me that sometimes electronics and mechanical things just get lonely and just need someone to look at them to start working again.I've never been afraid to take something apart and try to fix it since that day!More often than not, it's something obvious that's wrong and you can figure out how to deal with it.

I still can't believe it works!I spent several hours "working" on it and at one point I didn't think I was going to be able to get it back together, but I just kept thinking to myself how immpressed my wife was going to be if I got it working again!emoBigsmileShe thinks I'm smart.

Sometimes just a lil spec of dust in the wong place can make something not even work right.
And as for the extra parts you have left ... as mechanics say.. nevermind those bolts left over, they put to many in there to begin with, thats why they break. lol
Glad to hear you got it working
