Wife and I are toying around the idea of buying a camper 26-30 ft, super slide, lightweight, master bedroom with a door and queen bed. What are some of the best brands to look at ? Might buy used so what should I be on the look out for ?

If you're considering a new one, check out Northgate RV in Ringold or Hixson. Very low pressure sales-but real helpful and informative. Avoid Camping World!
Otherwise-Craigslist. Roof leaks, heat/air and refridgerator seem to be the main concerns. Tons of good brands to choose from-Fleetwood, Shasta,Puma and more.

I have had friends and relatives that have them. The ones made by Forrest River seem to be everything you need. Note...ALL of them are cheaply made. Except when you pay for them. emoLaugh . I own a 5th wheel and yes, we have enjoyed it a lot. Get your feet wet!!!!! I agree, check out Northgate RV.

And Dryhorn.....buy the one that suits your needs the 1st time. If you don't.....you will kick yourself, when you will want to trade UP.

Be sure to add 1000 lbs to the total weight. Thats just MOMMAS STUFF! emoBang

Airsteam: If I had the $ I'd buy an Airstream. The resale is much better. They last forever. I have some friend s that have towed theirs across US many times. It's outlived several tow vehicles

Find one that is used, they drop in value really quick. but like someone mentioned earlier get what you want the first time so you will be happy with it, if you happen to pay too much who, cares if it is what you want because you will love it and keep it anyway.
