1997 225 Johnson Venom Bob`s hi speed low water pickup 27 renegade 4-blade stock and excellent shape. I posted about this engine a few months ago so for max details dig it up or call me. Engine ran 60 MPH at 3/4 throttle last time out. It sucking air in #1 cylinder and will probably require some machine work to fix. and it might run awhile before you have to fix it. I opted to get a new engine since it was club TX time. I believe the hour meter was showing about 120 hours. I have been premixing with Amsoil for about 10 years. If it doesn`t sell soon I guess I`ll part it out. Controls come with it ! I bought this engine new in`97...price reduced to 1700$

Sounds like it could be a great deal for some one with a tight budget & a Big need for speed. I bet Ol'wrenchin2 would have this thing purring like a kitten in no time.emoAngler

I talked to James some about it .... If it doesn`t sell I may just get with him and see what he can do with it! It was an awful good motor for a long time. I hate to break it up..
