Went to the Caney fork on Monday with a good friend who hasn't been able to fish in a long timedue to illness. Our guide took us in his drift boat down the lower section to Gordonsville.
We caught a bunch of fish. Nick got a Tennessee hat trick, (brown, rainbow and brook)
Biggest fish were Nicks' 13-14" fat-azzed rainbows.

Good day on the river sorry no pics. #18 red ass was the ticket

Good for you. I have never fished that far down but from what I have seen from the road it looks like good water.

Last time I fished Caney Fork, was about 45+ years ago, lots of fun, a flat bottom boat and 2 Paddles. most likely changed a lot by now. hope you had a good time!

Below Center Hill Dam

There is a huge canoe hatch that comes off all summer. My drift boat got hit twice the last time I floated the caney.

Below Center Hill Dam
thats where the trout are?

People sometimes get confused about there being two different Rivers considered above Center-Hill and below the dam. Above the Dam there are Musky and some most awesome Bass fishing. Cane Creek below fall Creek Falls flows into the upper Caney Fork along with several other stocked Trout streams. My sister had a home on the river between Hwy 111 and Rock Island Park.. Gorgeous Tennessee at it's finest both above and below Center-Hill.</p>
