Hey folks,
Any body have any idea what cost Im looking at to replace the carpet on a 97 bumble bee 200 pro vee? Its a 20ft boat. I have somewhat of an idea but I've never had to replace carpet. So any help would be great.
Thanks,
Matt

Replaced my carpet in my 89 Ranger, I looked everywhere and Cabeleas had the best price for the carpet grade. It comes in 8 ft width so buy about 4 extra feet for your length. I did this myself it was really easy.

I replaced mine with a BPS kit years ago. Some of mine was worn to where I could not use it to cut the new carpet out with. I bought some poster board and made templates for those ares that I could not use the old carpet for templates. That glue was fierce!!! It got everywhere and I would suggest having someone help with the project - especially for large areas of carpet. Hope this helps.....

Hey Matt I do alot of carpet replacement, I know of a outfit that you can buy carpet kits for specific boats ready cut just need to scape and sand old surfaces plus lowes and home depot have marine carpet it cost about 130 for a 17 stators last check so yours would be in that range for HD or L's carpet. if you want me to check for kit that fits your boat let me know and I will get the info to you. so you can order. James

Ok I appreciate the info - Im actually looking at having it done. i would do it myself, but I just might cause more problems. DIY is not my specialty.

PM...Gator. He had his done last year....he could give you a reference and a somewhat price.

I put carpet in my boat last winter. Bought the carpet at Lowes, their marine grade is pretty good stuff for a good price. The tough part is cleaning the old glue off, it just takes a lot of elbow grease. It took me several weeks to get mine done only having a little time to work on it here and there. If you have a whole weekend to dedicate to it should be able to get it done. It will make a huge difference in the looks of your boat.
