what is the best way to clean your boat carpet.

Boat carpet is cleaned the same as your home carpets, if you have 16oz or thicker carpets , just rent a carpet cleaner, that has a cleaning nozzle similar to a portable vacuum cleaner .
Spot clean the really dirty areas first, with resolve or some other carpet spot cleaner, then use the regular carpet cleaner.

If you have non marine carpet, pressed felt stuff with no rubber backing ( super cheap porch carpet ), clean them at your own risk .. as they may fall apart.

thanks NRG.a friend of mine told me he cleans the carpet in his stratos at the car wash with the pressure washer.but im woundering if this would damage to the carpet?

Shouldn't damage them if they are in good shape and less than 5 yrs old .. old carpets may disintegrate from the pressure

I wouldn't use a pressure washer on any boat carpet. The pressure will cause the glue to come loose and then you will have to replace it. Just rent a carpet cleaner or buy a cheaper handheld one and be done with it. That way you will have it for when it gets dirty again.

scrub brush with dawn and water hose the shop vac dry and dry..Dawn is great. If there are worse stains Super Green..
