how is the fishing at carter's right now thinking of fishing there some while i break in the engine rather than fight the crowd at Chickamauga

well for pretty much all species I go after I usually use my GPS/sonar DI units very heavily. I also look for baitfish breaking on the surface. For catfish and walleye I'll get close to the Dam. It's really hard to give good tips for carters lake because the lake is sooooooo different then our usual TN River. Everyday is different on carters. If you are looking to just catch something no matter what it is the spillway and around the dam is a good place to start if you aren't familiar with the lake....one of my favorite places at night is fisher creek.

tuff the bites slow for bass 8-10 lb has been winning all tournaments. Night fishing is better from 10pm-4am for bass.
walleye are biting at nite lots being caught under lights on spoons and jig heads with night crawlers
