I was in Cancun last week and saw several persons using casting nets alnong the laguana shore. The people actually looked like they were living in the gazebos and possibly casting for food. Sad but there are a lot of people there now.

Great job TWRA. I sure don't need cast netters to make the fishing any more difficult.

We, as hamilton county residents, frequently hear of misfortunate conduct within our law enforcement. However, I am yet to hear of any from within TWRA. In fact, I typically hear of officers working long hours and there by being in the right place at the right time. There must be a different culture in that organization and it sure shows. Props to the hardworking wildlife officers.

I have been pleased. Honestly, the dam could probably use 24 hours supervision, it's just bad down there.

I hope that Matt Majors, or anyone else that hears the outcome will inform us of the punishment for these folks. Its not enought to catch them, there has to be deterents.

GREAT JOB TWRA!!!! I wonder how many were illegal aliens?? Illegal aliens fishing illegally sounds about right. I see them at the dam every time I walk down the river walk. No nets just multiple lines. I would vote for the man/women who would fix the illegal alien situation.

well I guess I will be the odd ball in the bunch. I on the other hand don't think that the TWRA is doing a very good job at all. even a blind hog finds a nut every now and than.every time I am at the dam I see people keeping short fish, slinging casting nets but I seldom if ever see the TWRA, and they are all fishing from the bank. catching one or two and making the papers with one bust in the middle of the night frankly don't impress me,when you could fill a truck with these fellows just about day of the week. I would like to see more patrol and less boat rides while working on your tan. I would like to read that the TWRA is making a lot more arrest for this type .
