just wanted to let all you fellas know how sweet my new CASTAWAY CAROLINA HONEY RIG is. not sure if it catches fish yetemoScratch but it's a strong 8 as far as sensitivity is concerned. it's a heavy so it's nice and stiff. i must say i get a bit more feeling out of my spinning rods but i guess i don't need to feel every rock in the tennessee river. the main thing is i feel most every bite, just wish i could catch ememoMad . also the price is right!!!! thanks again PRO LURES OF DALTON.

That rod is the HG-40 Carolina Honey...... The HG-40 Series is hard to beat, it's light and very sensitive, with an over counter warranty. Thanks Scott glad you are enjoying it.

Oh, there's no doubt about it. CastAway Rods will catch fish, and will allow you to feel more bites. I used All-Star Rods for the longest time, and I didn't have this kind of sensitivity, as I do with the two CastAway Rods that I own.

You just have to go out there and fish them. They are some of the most incredible rods I have ever held, and I have to say that I can fish them all day, and it doesn't hurt my wrists.

Truly a superb rod, and I look for them to gain a lot more attention in the future.

I agree too,Castaway rods are great for the money. They are like Allstars in that they are not as good as they were 10 years ago but are still good for the money. They must have changed the warranty as the Castaway rods that I have broken Phil charged me a $15 over the counter fee for the trade.

All-Star Rod Company was bought out by Shakespeare, and since then, has went down the tubes in construction, manufacturing, and warranty. I broke an old All-Star Rod, called their company, and back in the day, they wouldn't have thought twice about replacing it. When I called, they said that they would need proof of purchase and all parts of the rod, so that they could determine if it was done on purpose. After having the rod for 10 years, it's not like I was going to snap it on purpose. My Dad gave me that rod, and I snapped it when set the hook on a big catfish. What really teed me off was that the snap was CLEAN! As if it was a manufacturer's default in the rod, that took 10 years to come to fruition.

At any rate, CastAways, in my opinion, are one of the best brands of rods out there for the money.
