CATCH 2/6 Nickajack Official Results

This tournament was sponsored by the Cleveland, TN law firm Jenne, Scott & Jenne, PLLC. We had a great turnout this morning despite the rip roaring current, gale force wind and falling temperature. We had 24 boats with only seven being able to bring a keeper to the scale. My partner and I had a single LM (3.29 lbs) caught on a PB & J jig just below Bennett Lake. We have a three fish limit and pay 1 place per 5 boats. We have a big smallmouth pot and since none were caught we paid the 2nd biggest LM. Below are the winning weights.

1st place - Matt Withrow and Tim Bacon - 10.44lbs
2nd place - Jamie Wells and Tom Kizziah - 8.50 lbs
3rd place - James Milling and Rusty Robertson - 8.18 lbs - 2nd big fish 4.35lbs
4th place - Jamie Tanksley and Ben Biller - 7.91 lbs
1st Big Fish - Jon Mantooth and Terry Wyatt - 4.64 lbs
Big Trash Fish - Jon Mantooth and Terry Wyatt - 6.87 lbs catfish

Thanks for the results.I went to the weigh in and was impressed with the set up and the way it was handled.They had an enclosed trailer with coffee for everyone,canopy covers to keep everything dry and quite a few door prizes.

Good job guys, I didn't thing it would take that much to win it I started to come and join and fish maybe the next one.

7 out of 25 boats had fish. Hopefully there will be a better turnout on the 20th!

It was tough out there. We only had the one keeper and I think it was our only bite. The catfish that we caught was snagged in the side. We are hoping for a heatwave for the 20th, but it looks chilly as of now. Hope you can come.

Kevin I think you and your staff are doing a wonderful job with your club I am going to try and fish some of your tournments this year, with my job and me running our fishing club it will be tough but hope to see you soon. Keep up the good job!
