CATCH at Grasshopper on 2/14 Official Results

[CATCHMAN]

We had a total of 43 boats fish our opening tournament. It was a bit cool with a nice afternoon breeze as we were coming in, but all in all it was a great day to be on the water. Twenty-nine boats weighed-in. Last year only 13 of 38 weighed-in in our February tournament. I heard various anglers tell of their catches on the normal baits of the day - rattle traps, Tn rigs and jerk baits. My partner and I threw them all in various weights and colors to no avail. We threw two rig setups, a jig, 4 colors traps, 4 colors jerks, a chatterbait and 3 medium diver cranks. Our only keeper, believe it or not, came on the notorious Brush Hog.

Yeah it's bad when you bring in an 8 pounder and it gets laughed at for big fish! This lake continues to amaze me and I love it. Congrats to the winners!

I just had to give the rig a shout out since everyone feels that big Stringers and big fish can only be caught on the rig. Congrats to the money. I hate I missed this one it was a perfect day but work needed me...
