We have secured the contract and the Big Bass Challenge is set for our March 15th CATCH Challenge. A 7lb largemouth, a 5lb smallmouth and a 3lb spot/KY will pay $5,000. This is one winner per species with the largest that exceeds the given weight being the winner. You can win all three species for a total of $15,000. Keep in mind that this tournament is ONLY on Lake Chickamauga and we launch from Chester Frost Park.

First place is guaranteed at $5,000 no matter how many entries and will max at $10,000 for 125+ boats. We will pay 20 places for 125 boats. First place $$ and the number of places paid will be adjusted accordingly. You will know at the pre-tournament meeting what you are fishing for.

All details will be handled at the pre-tournament meeting: registration, rules and launch position. No paperwork Saturday morning. No Saturday registration. Just show up and go gettum.

Pre-tournament meeting will be 3/14 at 6:30pm at Bayside Baptist Church on Hwy 58. Come hungry - barbeque from Rib and Loin will be served. At least one from each boat must attend. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Sorry about that...$150 is the entry fee and that includes a "big fish" pot that is seperate from the Big Bass Challenge...The Big Bass Challenge has been sponsored by Caldwell Paving, Dr. Chad Eslinger, Cherokee Pharmacy and the Bread Basket

So, do you have to hit the weight exactly or does this mean payout goes to largest weight over 3#spot,5#sm and7#largemouth?

It goes to the largest fish in each group. Last year nobody won it the 5,000 dollar fish that is. I really belive it will be paid out this year.

The contract says "It is he largest fish that exceeds the given weight". I will have to contact them to see if an exact weight is a winner.

I did get clarification on the weights. The winning fish must exceed the given weight. Therefore largemouth 7.01 lbs. or more, smallmouth 5.01 lbs. or more and spot/KY 3.01 lbs. or more. Once again, it is the largest fish weighed in per species that exceeds the given weight.
