CATCH results for 5/17 at HBSP

We had 15 boats today, but as I have said before, we count people not boats. We had 29 fisherpeople, including one lady, that faught the cruisers, fog, jet skis, wind and yachts today. One of the roughest days on the water for me in a long while.

We paid 3 places. I don't have the cards for exact weights, but I do know the winners for sure.

1st Randy Mayton aka KOZ and Verlyn Corbin 14.46 lbs $300
2nd Anthony Calhoun and Jason McFalls 14.19 lbs $200
3rd Jim McClanahan aka JMAX 12.90 lbs $100
Big Fish Lou Griswold 4.96 lbs LM $140 he also had a 4.70 SM

Next tx is at Grasshopper...It is Friday night June 13th....Starts at 7pm and weigh-in is 3amemoDoh emoDoh...What shall we do???Most of us need our beauty rest!!!We will still have our trash fish award and we do have Big Fish of the Year for largemouth, smallmouth and spot. The CATCH Challenge is not part of our regular tx trail and those fish are not included...Current Big Fish leaders are LM - Mickey Moses 8.25 lbs, SM - Lou Griswold 4.70 lbs, Spot - ?????? could be you...Spots must be 15" and some have been culled, but none have been brought to the scales...Big Fish awards are $500 each species..

Ok so I'm deeply troubled by my brand spanking new $50000 bass rig. I knew the four keepers I had wouldn't win any money but we fished hard all day only to have the motor not crank on the way to weigh in. To get a DQ over that just makes me sick. I was somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3 minutes late. Here is what I have learned.
1. Carry a set of jumper cables.
2. Take the lock nuts off the crankin battery and use wing nuts instead.
3. Upgrade friends.emoLaugh
4. Remember what CATCH is all about.
5. When it is all said and done it doesn't matter anyway cuz I had a great time.

Ok You need to get a fishing partner that isnt so BIG. Then your batteries want run down so fast. I would have come and got you if you woulda called you know that. But I want tell you where the brother-in-law fishing holes are anymore.
