Went out for a couple of hours yesterday evening ( wife is out of town ) to see if the catfish would bite. Caught 7 using skipjack with the biggest one being 28 lbs. Wind was still very strong and it got cool about dark.
If anyone wants a mess of catfish to eat and wants to go with me one evening next week just PM me and we will set it up. Make sure you can bring a cooler with you.emoHungry

I might wanna go with you sometime next week if I can get loose one evening. see ya

Fishing Machine which damn are you fishing near.I am in Murfreesboro and wanting to get down close to Chatt and do some good Catfishing with my stepson. But dont know where to launch at and what is good bait down there.

Chickamauga dam on the lake side. I use skipjack, it's the best for big fish. Chicken breast is good if you want to catch a lot of fish.
You can put in at Chickamauga marina on the south side of the dam ( lake side ) Using your graph or depth finder, look for fish in front of the floodgates or over by the lock wall. I like to anchor and fish skipjack on the bottom. Good luck if you make it down this way.

Well my son had other things going on Friday evening and plus here they where calling for storms all day and evening so didnt do anything. Then I was wondering about my father in law cause aint seen him all day.So finally found out he was ran off with some friends to Nickajack. They got around 26 cats. But who knows I am off work till Monday nite so I might have to slip off down there and see what I can get into.
On the breast do you soak them in anything or just plain from the store.I hadnt never heard of using that before. But hey I wont turn my head on it I will be using it to see what it brings in.

No, no soaking/marinating necessary. Use 'em plain.... others do try to "spice 'em up" with various concoctions. But in my experience, it's not really worth the trouble.

Thanks RSimms for the info.I went out on Percy Priest this morning when a friend called me up and so I stopped in at the locat Kroger and got some breast and they turned out real good.We put some out with garlic powder on them and then some just plain..We turned out with some of the biggest cats we have ever caught on Priest.Couple 20# and a couple 15#.So all in all we had a great time and talked about heading East if he gets out of playing softball this weekend and try it out on Nickajack.Yall keep up the good work down yalls way and maybe one day we will meet up on the lakes.I am really enjoying this forum yall have going on here.

Do yall know what the site is to go to and find out the generating schedule for Nickajack is.If so that would be great help.
