Catfish help

Hey guys I am going in the morning to take my dad and buddy fishing. We are going to try for some cats from about sunrise untill about 10. Let me know any pointers. We are going to try the nuke. Holla if you see us. We will be in a stratos fish and ski.

Drift slow; slowly raise and lower your rod tip to bounce your sinker off the bottom; using cut skipjack, shad, bream, chicken breast chunks...etc for bait.....fish the ledges and any structure that you can find on your sonar. Start out early fishing the flats just off the river ledges in 20 to 30 feet of water and mover deeper as the sun gets higher. Hope this helps...good luck.

What kind of rig do you guys use. I normally fish a rig that looks similar to a carolina rig with a circle hook. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Dusty.

Look for the brown G3 center console with a Yamaha 90 and two big ugly looking guys in it. I can show you the rig we use easier than I can tell you.

Although that will work, you will probably get hung qite a bit if drifting. A better rig is to use a 3 way swivel, or similar set-up, and make sure to suspend the hook above the weight, which should be more or less contacting the bottom the majority of the time.

Thanks guys I will look for you all. We will be two fat guys and one little guy in the stratos fish and ski with a cff sticker on the windshield and a johnson 200. We will probley look like we have no clue what we are doin lol. I am more of a bass fisherman. What time you going to be there cheez.

Cheez and I will be out around 6:30 and will stay until we catch all of the big fish or it gets too hot, and you know which will come first! Stop by and we'll teach you both of the things that we think we know! By the way, the big ugly guy is Cheez, the big goofy looking guy in the back (playing the fish)(or swimming) is me.
