catfishing tuesday AM, chickamauga 8-22-2006

I got out this morning for a little catfishing. A storm has run me off the lake before I was ready to quit. I may go back after this blows over. Radar on the weather channel looks promising for this afternoon.

I caught 9 before the storm stopped me in my tracks. Whenever I hear thunder, I get off the lake immediately. The 4 that I kept weighed 8,9,9,10. I threw back 5 under 3 pounds. Missed several bites. I may post a pic later. Caught the fish on the channel drops 40-45 feet of water. One keeper at the dam, and the other three keepers near Harrison bluff. I used chicken thighs for bait (un-doctored). Those fish like the legs as well as the breasts, Rsimms.emoHungry emoGeezer

Based upon price at the Bi-Lo, I may just have to become a "leg man." emoBigsmile Way to go this AM.

I'm going to have to check out the bluff one of these days, last time I went past there in my boat the whole water column in some areas were cluttered with fish.
