I drew the dec 6-8 hunt. Anyone have any info or help on it? Never been there and have no clue of the property.

It's a beautiful place, huge and with the chance for a big deer. The roads are for the most part along the tops of ridges, so you park and walk down hill to hunt mostly. You can hunt on either section of the wma bi-color or genesis with your draw permit.
Go up there and drive around get out and look around. They have small maps at the ranger stations and a gps helps too.
There are designated camping areas and not hard to find a place if you get there early enough.
You'll see food plots that look good, but by that late in the season the deer will be hiding in the thick stuff.

Take a climbing stand and try to hang over some thick brush where they bed or travel to and from. Get out there early and take a pee bottle.

Good luck

Mikie, just me and yes I plan on camping. You?

Churly, thanks I will look at that on the online maps.

My Mom has a cabin right past Arrowhead Boat Dock. It is about 30 miles to the checking station. I have been going up there and staying and driving up to Catoosa from there. I go up the Mountain at Rockwood. Its not too bad of a drive. I have a couple of more guys who are going with me. ( I think)
Where do you live? Thats a good ways off,so I don't know my definite plans. I don't how many days I will be able to take off. You can yell at me later if you think you might want to team up with us. Do you have a 4 wheeler or a 4 wheel drive?

That may be a good idea. I typically don't like hunting alone or knowing others just in case. Don't have either but may be borrowing a 4wheeler

I've been up there by myself before and camped. I met my neighbors camping next to me and gave them my number and location of where I was hunting, so someone would know to send out the posse if I didn't come back at the right time.

4 whrs are ok but you can't ride them everywhere. Most of the side roads are posted closed to offroad vehicles. You can drive almost anywhere there in a regular truck ( I hunted all over that place as a kid with my Dad's friend in his VW beetle)

Of course the farther you go the farther you have to drag a dead deer, but that's most of the fun.
Churly's right, go down to the thick stuff and wait for a shooter.

BTW it's a $25 fine if you shoot a buck that's too small (over 15" spread, four points on one side) but the court costs in Cumberland Co are like $362.00
