Cats at Sequoyah 6-16-2006

[Fewfish]

I have been reading for quite a while but this is my first post. Seems the fish have all but left the Sequoyah area, my son and I are having a harder time finding them. May have been later in the summer last year, but we were catching more and larger fish. Fished yesterday from around 6:30 pm til dark only 1 fish. Of course my son caught it, around 8lbs.

Thanks for the report. I know for myself that while the cats may not be there now, it was later in the summer that I was able to get some at the discharge. Have you tried threadfins yet?

Not tried thread fins just cut bait and night crawlers. Tried to post pic guess that's something I need to work on. emoScratch

Try right above the boils. Start on the top and work your way down to deeper water. I think it is 30 or so feet on top and drops off. A buddy and I fished there on the 16th and did real good. It was the first day that they have been in there real good. It should only get better from here on out. BTW, we where using chicken livers. There was a guy beside us using threadfins and doing better than us.
