<font size="3" face="Arial"> <font color="#000066">The October CBA event was held October 03, 2009 at Chester Frost Park. The Chattanooga Bass Association would like to thank Grants Sporting Goods for sponsoring this month’s event as well as supporting the CBA for many years. We had 56 teams that fished this month’s tournament. Cash and prizes were paid through 41 places and there was a drawing for two Carrot Stik Rods from Soddy Custom Tackle.
</font></font><font color="#000066" size="3" face="Arial"> The team of Chuck James and Brad James had the winning bag of fish weighing 20.33# to take the win and the first place check for $2,000.00. The win qualifies them for the 2009 Sportsman’s Warehouse Classic Championship if they fish at least 7 of the open tournament months. The following teams rounded out the remainder of the places in the money:

<font color="#000066" face="Arial"><font color="#000066" size="3" face="Arial"> Cory Nichols and John Oxford had the big fish of the tournament with a giant Largemouth weighing 6.47 pounds. Chuck James and Brad James had the big smallmouth at 5.84 pounds. Ron Bohlman and Ray Bohlman had the big spot at 2.86 pounds.
</font><font color="#000066" size="3" face="Arial">The next CBA will be the Sportsmans Warehouse Classic Championship October the 24^th and 25th. There will also be a Classic banquet held at Sportsman’s Warehouse October the 15^th for everyone eligible and planning to fish the 2009 Classic. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors that make our tournament format possible.

Congrats to the winners and anyone that caught fish, it was AWWWWFUUUULLLLL for us with 2 keeper weighted in and 3 all day long. Caught 3 fish in the first 6 cast on a trap and 2 of them were keepers but one might have gone for a pound to a pound & a half and would have measured, keep him na throw him back we can should be able to cull him anyways...wrong...caught the other one flipping a dock. Caught maybe 5 fish all day. Might be the worst day of fishing all year. emoBang

What a way to wrap up a great season! Great turnout and lots of big fish weighed in. Congrats to the James boys, that was a huge smallie! Thanks for everyone who came out to enjoy a beautiful day of fishing. I look forward to seeing all who qualified to fish the classic at Sportsman's Warehouse next thursday the 15th at 6pm for food and fun. Congrats to those who qualified to fish for a piece of the $50,000 payout!

Also, congrats to Kathy Raulston for becoming a CBA rep for the '10 season!
