Thought I would go ahead and post a report for Team Churly/Beetlespin. We never found any great hotspots tonight and really had to run one hole after another as we seemed to only be able to catch one fish per hole (or none). First bass of the night was a nice fat 17 inch caught on a Rangerrob 3/4 ounce tandem spinnerbait on a hump in roughly 15ft of water. Second fish was an 18" LM caught on a c-rig in the same place and then not another fish there. Third fish was caught on a modified revenge deep runner spinnerbait also in about 15ft of water slow rolling. Thought he was a monster but turned out to be another solid 2.5 pounder. Around daybreak we started pitching jigs as the c-rig and spinnerbait bite seemed to be gone for us. Churly caught a nice 2+ pound LM on a black/blue jig in a brushpile in about 6-8 feet of water. Guess what, another 2.something pounder. Finally I caught the 3.5 lb smallmouth pitching a jig to vertical structure at about 8:30 am in about 11 ft of water. Churly boated another keeper on the jig but we ended up throwing in back as the other keepers were a little bigger. All in all it was a fun night with a nice 13.5 lb sack of fish.

Guys congrats on a nice win.emoParty I have got to admit I am glad to hear you did not catch a boat load. Me and CCSM really fished hard on this one to get that last keeper and never could get one in the boat. I was thinking the last time Churly said he had boated like fifteen keepers and I just about gave it up.(I had one that time.) With you two which I felt had the edge on me and CCSM only catching 6 our 4 doesn't sound all that bad. Nice bag guys and way to go!emoWorthy Jmax

I cant add too much to Beetlespins report. I think he covered it. We had to work hard for 3 keepers a piece, and I was shocked that the fish did not seem as bunched as they have been over the past month. I was surprised to see the number of smallies weighed in. Thanks for allowing me to tag-a-long Beetle! Thanks for putting on another great CFF Tx Jmax!

Good job. Churly, what did you think of the lead sled? rides like a 20 ft pontoon doesn't it? about the same speed too.

Thats the first "new" ranger I have ever fished in, man those boats are awsome!! It was probably the best boat I could have fished out of considering the conditions. If I had been in the Barney boat, or gay bullet as Beetle* calls it, I would have had about 10 lbs of water in my lap on those wet runs, so I really appreciated having the console in front of me. I really enjoyed fishing with Lance, he taught me a thing or two about Jig fishing, which is somehting I dont fish with enough! I was surprised that we faired so well in the Tx, I Figured someone would have a 6lb anchor in their sack, but apparently it was tough night! By the way, he let me in on your little inside joke rgarding the 9" spots if you know what I mean. We cut up and laughed about it for 8 hours straight!!!
