Day 1 Nick; Practice fished Wed. Put in at Suck Cr and fished up to South Cr. 3 slicks and a legal jumper. The lake was down low by over 2 ft and it sucked. Sat; Decided to fish down from Sullivan's. Started out on a spot in Mullin's, fishing a weightless Super Fluke Jr.. 3 lbr on my second cast while it was still sort of dark. Took until 9:30 or so to boat keeper's 2 and 3. Bite died at 10A. Ran down to the old lock and tried to crank up a good spot- nothing. Ran down to a spot in Cave Lake. Found a pattern fishing a spinnerbait on wind blown rip rap with wood trash. Caught 3 with one keeper. That made 4 in the box. It was around 12 noon and thought for sure I could nail # 5. Started speed fishing in a panic. Fished the tunnel slough (bellow Cave lake), tied into a 5 lb drum that really bummed me out, lol. Worked main lake mat at the dam on a point. Saw fish on the top but... In a panic, I ran back up to Mullin's looking for 1 last bite that never came.

Sunday, Chick; Did not get in any practice on chick. That was a mistake. My key starting spot brought Nothing. A real shocker and took some wind outta my sails. The cold front, lack of wind and water temp dropped 10-12 degrees from last week and the bait disappeared. (so did the bass). Tried deeper where they should have migrated to- nothing. Ran a ways and went to a shallow pattern boating a 3lbr at 9:30. Hit some brush piles with a spinnerbait that should have produced, Notta! Then found a bite on larger trash wood. # 2 was a 4 plus at 10;30. Took 2 more average keepers by 12;30 and realized I was running out of time. Water went flat from no breeze and killed the bite. Went into speed fish mode hitting my best stuff but because of the 2pm weigh-in, didn't have time to cover all my spots. The 2 pm weigh in with the 5 fish limit killed my chances of showing out well. Did my best and had a great time trying.

Congrats to the top 3. Thanks to Everyone in the CFF and hope to see ya'll next year
