Ronnie and I ran up river a ways and started out fishing a spawning flat. We fished for about two hours and never had a bite!? We finally moved and started fishing rock banks, both rip-rap and natural rock, Ronnie finally got our first fish and small keeper on a shakey head worm. In just a few minutes I caught a keeper on a shakey head also. So we continued fishing rocks. We caught six or seven fish each all on a shakey head except for one that Ronnie caught on a tube type bait. I think we culled twice by just ounces. The water temp was anywhere from 56 - 61 degrees with a lot of current and mostly stained. We threw spinner baits, jigs, various lip less rattle baits, several different crank baits, and A-rigs all with out a bite. Our three fish weighed in at 9.47 lbs. I think and got us 4th place I think? Congrats to Mark and Justin on the win and big fish. Hope to see everyone Saturday March 18th up on the Chick!
