Guys we have just learned that there is supposed to be a High School Tx. the Battle of the Chic going out of CFP Saturday. This is the same Tx. that last year was out of Dayton and they had over 200 boats. So we are moving the CFF to the Harrison Bay State Park ramp.

Battle of the chick is end of the month and out of Dayton. It will be the largest HS tournament ever held more than likely with well over 300 boats. Not sure who gave you this info but it's incorrect. Our group is one of if not the largest in the country. Our schedule can be found here. WWW.NWGHSAA.COM

It is actually a Bass Pro sponsored high school event from what I found. Someone had posted there was a large high school tournament expecting 280-300 boats out of Chester Frost. I called CFP and they are expecting a large tournament. She said Bass Pro Shops Hurricane Fishingis what she has listed.

so these tournaments this weekend are there any that I can sign up for at the ramp if I decide to fish? I would likely be solo if I do...

ok are we set on HBSP? and yes rod i dont agree.waiting until two days before our tx to decide on ramp is bad enough then changing it the next night is re just cool.can i get a amen.

I agree they should be set, however i do believe we need to be flexible so when we do find out about a large tx we can react. actually I think its kinda fun not knowing the ramp until the last minute.

Larry, I am man enough to take responsibility for this one. After dealing with damage to my roof from the storm last week the mrs. and I left town for several days, the entire time with me thinking we did not fish until next weekend so I was not worried about it...until Earl texted me on Monday before I arrived back home.

I for one, am not sure why it matters which ramp we use and/or which day it is announced, as I have fished out of all of them, and if I have an area where there are fish (which I don't), then I will run through the pits of hell to fish it regardless of what the payout may be because I want to win. I dragged my poor wife from Chickamauga Dam to Lakesite several years ago in 25 degree temps because I had located some fish, and am lucky she did not toss my ass in the lake. She probably would have if she could have thawed out enough to move and get to me.

With that said, we should have had the ramp posted earlier. Once again, I take responsibility for that. Scheduling for CFP is near impossible now, especially with the addition of High School tournaments everywhere with the exception of night tournaments. I like CFP, and prefer it to any other ramp around because of parking and accessibility. I have suggested that whoever does this next year needs to go down to CFP in early fall and reserve as many weekends as possible.

i agree with you ken but most big tx. are posted on the cff or their web site.just needs to be more research did in advance.the cff is always the one to be moved to another ramp.does the tx coming out of CFP have the ramp reserved?seems like one that big would have it reserved and would be easy to know about in advance.it would be nice to know ramp being used a week in advance.rant over

i understand what you are saying patrick but you are not the only one making the calls.dont try and do it all, share the load.i do appreciate all that yall do but sharing is good.

Does the C in CFF stand for complaining?

When it was more like a dogfight nobody cared they just wanted to fish but all good things must come to an end. LOL emoUSA
Hard to believe that was over 10 years ago
