Ronnie and I had a game plan early in the week but as usual we changed it about four times so as we left CFP the only thing that we new for certain was where our first stop was. It was a brushy bank. We started out fishing shakey heads. We caught a couple of short fish really quick. Then we got out first 16 in keeper. About an hour later we got our second squeaker keeper. The bite for us was rather slow for us. We left and made a move to stop number 2. We fished that for about thirty minutes without a bite. We then moved to stop number 3. It was a rocky point. I was throwing a spinner bait and Ronnie was fishing his shakey head. He catches a short fish. Then he makes a cast to two and catches our best fish that was 5.97 lbs. I think. We caught a couple more small keepers culling by ounces. We missed several fish that were just biting funny? We lost three good fish that just came unbuttoned? We finally weighed in with 11.48 lbs. and was 4th. I was showing the water temp around 82-84 degrees with no current. Congrats to the winners Billy and Steven and a 9 lb. plus pig hawg! Hope to see everyone down at the River Park.
