Just wanted to say thanks to all those that helped organize and put togather the CFF Picnic. I just got back and I still am soooo full I am about to pop. emoHungry That was some great fish and fix'ins. All the sides everyone brought were too many to mention. I went back twice and still would have ate more if I could have held it. Spur you cook some mean fish. emoThumbsup The weather was great also this time around. Nice and overcast with a slight breeze made it very confortable. It was great to see a lot of old faces that I already knew and meet some others that I knew of but never met. emoGrouphug Jmax

Great food...oooh that stuff Mrs Hal Perry made was goood!emoHungry Fish, hushpuppies, slaw, tater-salad, the list went on and on. Pecan & apple pies, brownies, apple crisp...sweet tea, folks it don't get better than this! JUST A SHORT NOTE OF THANKS I HAD A GREAT TIME MET NEW FRIENDS AND MAYBE FISHING BUDDYS FOOD WAS GREAT COMPANY WAS GREAT WHO WON THE FISHING ROD THAT FA BUILT IT WAS AWSOME THANKS AGAIN RUDY

Sorry, forgot to mention that HeathJ was first drawn for the rod, and he decided that he needed the computer that Doc1 graciously donated, and then Danny Mitchel of Outcaster Guide Service was the next drawn. It was a fantastic looking rod, and I have to admit I was lusting after it! emoLaugh

man what a fun time and great eats. i had a blast passing on the dock shooting techniques that was so graciously taught to me by polo-dog. hopefully i didn't confuse
TazGA or anyone else that was standing around watching emoScratch .
it was great to meet new faces to put with names and talk to a few that i haven't seen in awhile
Glockjr was thrilled with all the crappie fishing stuff he won emoParty
so much so that he had to try some of it out before we left the camp .
didnt catch any crappie but we did manage a few decent bluegill.

also now that he has tasted some very tasty crappie he's not so sure he wants to
throw all the crappie that we catch back in the water emoThumbsup

Folks... We had a blast at this picnic emoToast
This was my first one, and I really enjoyed meeting everyone... the food was spectacular, the fellowship was grand, getting to learn the finer points of shootin' rigs, the door prizes ( I got a Bag'o Bass Baits from Smokey Mountain Tackle... I'll have to pay them folks a visit next time I'm in Cleveland emoTongue )
I really appreciate everything that went into making this a success. Bringing my wife and Kaizer down there, I wasn't sure what to expect... we were all welcomed and felt like we were among old friends. This is one heck of a group of great people and I'm glad to be a part of it. Those pink croc hickeys didn't even look too bad.... I thought I remember hearing something about somebody wanting to wrestle FA for them shoes emoScratch emoBigsmile
That rod that FA built was a piece of art... cudo's m8!
Glock and Hal ... thx for showing me you shootin' rigs and how you do it... that looks like it's going to be a lot of fun! Got to discuss some good fishing stuff with Tyler, and hope to plan a trip... Talked to Jmax about getting together and comparing antique equipment since mine is probably as old as his ... lol Spur and his helpers did an excellent job on the fish... had a good time talking to EricM and feel confident that the curse wasn't passed on...lol... was kind of hoping the madbomber would have his goggles on this morning emoBigsmile. Churly, was nice to meet you... I wish you well in your CBA nomination, you really seem sincere about building those tournaments up to how they used to be.... got volunteered to be in the picture of the grey headed dudes with Doc1, Ditchdoc and crew.... Talking to Billy about the history of CFF..... so many folks, so many discussions today... and yes, RangerBob.... I did see you making faces behind someone talking ... lol .... I know I'm leaving things out... It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to get a chance to fish with some of these guys emoSmile Everyone really knows how to have a good time emoToast Cheers! emoThumbsup
